Alba Hernandez Weiss is a lawyer admitted to the Madrid Bar in Spain since 2020 and to the Berlin Bar as an EU lawyer since February 2025. She holds a degree in Law and Economics from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2018), having spent one year of her studies as an Erasmus exchange student at the University of Cologne (2015-2016). During her studies, she gained practical experience through internships in prestigious Spanish law firms.

Alba completed her postgraduate studies in “German and European Law and Legal Practice”, with a focus on German Criminal Law, at the Humboldt University in Berlin (2018-2019).

From 2019 to 2020, she was a Trainee Lawyer at Perez Llorca in Madrid, working in the area of white-collar crime and competition law.

Before joining Oehmichen International in 2024, Alba was a research fellow and PhD student of the DFG Research Training Group ‘DynamInt – Dynamic Integration’ at the Humboldt University in Berlin (2020-2024), including a research stay at the Centre de Droit Europeen in Brussels. Alba completed her PhD in European Criminal Law on ‘Admissibility of cross-border evidence in criminal proceedings in the EU: Between EU-Law and Legal Practice ‘ (submission: June 2024, defence: January 2025, Grade:Summa Cum Laude). During this time, she also worked on occasion with Oehmichen International on a project-related basis. Since October 2024 she has joined the firm as Associate and brings in her expertise in EU law and Spanish law.
